Lorenzo's 10-Year Journey:

From 19-Year-Old Newcomer to Leading Operations at FJT Logistics

Ten years ago, Lorenzo landed in Australia at just 19, stepping into a new country, a new role, and a completely different way of doing business. Fast forward a decade, and he’s now General Manager of Operations at FJT Logistics, shaping the company’s agility, culture, and growth.

But his journey hasn’t been without challenges.

“I came from the Italian branch, where I was focused on exports, but in Australia, everything revolved around imports—basically the opposite of what I knew. On top of that, adjusting to a new country and work environment wasn’t easy,” Lorenzo recalls. “I’m incredibly grateful to Alessandro for the opportunity and to my family for their support through it all.”

Building His Career—One Challenge at a Time

Lorenzo’s rise through FJT has been anything but ordinary. He didn’t just wait for opportunities—he stepped up wherever the company needed him.

“I always wanted to support different areas of the business, and that’s how I learned so much along the way. It wasn’t always easy, but those challenges helped shape who I am today.”

His hands-on approach and willingness to think beyond the job description have helped FJT maintain its agility in a fast-moving industry.

One of the things that excites Lorenzo most about FJT is its ability to move quickly and efficiently, cutting through red tape where others get stuck.

“FJT isn’t just about moving freight—it’s about moving fast. I’ve always tried to follow the guidance I’ve been given while also bringing in new ideas to improve how we operate. If something needs to be done, we find a way to make it work.”

Seeing the company’s name grow in recognition is one of the proudest moments of his career so far.

“When people hear FJT and know who we are—it means the work we’ve all put in is paying off. That’s a great feeling.”

In an industry where leadership is often associated with decades of experience, Lorenzo has built credibility through action.

“For me, leadership isn’t about telling people what to do—it’s about working alongside them. I want my team to feel confident that we can make things happen, and I always lead with that mindset.”
