At FJT Logistics, growth often begins with courage — the courage to start again, to adapt, and to build something meaningful from the ground up. Few stories capture that spirit better than Edoardo Checcacci’s.
This January marks 12 years since Edoardo joined FJT, a journey that began in our Italian office and led him across continents to Australia, where he now manages our South Australia branch.
Twelve Years of Dedication:
Edoardo’s Journey from Italy to South Australia
“When I landed, I changed my shirt, put on my tie, and thought I was ready to go,” Edoardo recalls with a smile. “But I quickly realised that learning a new language and starting from zero was much harder than looking the part. So, I rolled up my sleeves and began again from the bottom.”
Before moving to Adelaide in 2014, Edoardo spent eight years working across various departments in Italy, gaining valuable experience handling exports bound for Australia and New Zealand. That insight became his foundation as he helped expand FJT’s customer network in his new home country.
In 2016, Edoardo took on a new challenge — opening FJT’s South Australia branch. It was a bold move that tested his resilience and drive.
“It wasn’t inspiration but motivation,” he says. “Moving to a new city where I didn’t know anyone helped me grow, not just professionally but personally. Sacrifice and dedication — easy to say, but not always easy to live every day.”
Now, a decade later, Edoardo leads a growing team and continues to strengthen FJT’s presence in the region. His leadership is guided by a simple philosophy: honesty, humility, and hard work.
“Honesty has always paid me back,” he explains. “I’ve faced challenges over the years, but I’m still here — smiling.”
When asked what makes FJT special, his answer comes without hesitation:
“It’s a company that still calls you by your name, not your number. I’ve always felt listened to and valued here.”
As he looks ahead, Edoardo is not only planning for the future of the South Australia branch but also preparing for a new chapter in his personal life — fatherhood.
“Becoming a father will be a whole new adventure,” he says. “I’ll do my best to pass on everything I’ve learned — to work hard, stay honest, and always give 150 per cent.”
Edoardo’s story is one of perseverance and passion — a reminder that success isn’t just built on milestones, but on the daily effort to grow, adapt, and lead with integrity.
