September News Brief

Welcome to our September News Brief

This week on his first visit to our Australian offices we had the pleasure of hosting Massimo Ragazzi, Asia Regional Manager, who is based in Shanghai and oversees the Shanghai, Hong Kong, and Shenzhen branches for FJT Logistics, on his first-ever tour of our Australian branches.

Massimo Ragazzi’s Australian Tour: Strengthening Global Connections

Since playing a pivotal role in the launch of our Shanghai branch in 2021, Massimo has been integral in aligning our Chinese operations with our global strategy.

During his visits to our Melbourne, Adelaide, Sydney, and Brisbane offices, Massimo strengthened the collaboration between our teams across continents. His visit highlighted the growing synergy within our network, enabling us to offer even better service to our customers while uncovering new opportunities for cooperation.

“Interacting with our Australian colleagues and seeing the alignment of our global strategy has been incredibly rewarding,” says Massimo.

“The strong collaboration between our Chinese and Australian branches is driving improved service and creating exciting new opportunities.”

Agility and Personal Touch: Keys to Global Logistics Success

As we continue to expand, FJT’s ability to stay agile and maintain a personal connection with clients is what sets us apart in the fast-paced world of logistics.

Our General Manager of Operations, Lorenzo Checcacci, and National Warehouse Manager, Bob Usher, emphasize the importance of swift adaptability.

As Bob puts it; “Anyone can unload a container, but not everyone can pivot as quickly as we do when issues arise.”

With 15 interconnected global branches, decisions happen in real-time, allowing us to remain nimble and responsive to client needs.

“We like to react quickly to any inconvenience that arises in doing business; that’s the key,” says Lorenzo.

This agility, combined with the power of personal relationships, has been a cornerstone of our success, ensuring that even as we grow, we stay true to our core values—treating customers like family.

China-Europe-Australia Trade Links: A Competitive Edge

FJT’s strong presence in both Europe and Asia positions us as a key facilitator of global trade, connecting cargo flow between these continents and Australia.

According to Massimo, the expansion of our operations in China has been instrumental in our overall growth strategy.

“By strengthening our presence in China, we are not only enhancing our capabilities in the Asia-Pacific region but also improving our service offerings to European markets.”

This global reach gives FJT the agility to navigate the complexities of international logistics, offering clients a seamless experience across borders.

“Our European arm gives us a competitive edge,” says Lorenzo.

Whether it’s handling cargo or navigating trade regulations, FJT’s interconnected branches ensure our clients benefit from smooth and efficient logistics operations.

Golden Week Disruptions: Are You Ready?

As Golden Week (1-7 October) approaches, we anticipate disruptions due to factory and port closures in China

  • With seven of the world’s top 10 ports located in China and Hong Kong, the global supply chain is set for a major test
  • At FJT Logistics, we’re leveraging advanced data and strategic planning to navigate this period smoothly, minimizing any impact on our clients’ operations

For Our Clients and Team:

    • Predictive Planning: Using historical data to anticipate disruptions and secure capacity
    • Real-Time Alerts: Keeping you informed of potential delays and adjustments
    • Flexible Solutions: Offering alternative routes and methods to reduce impact
  • Proactive Booking: Advising early bookings to avoid delays; 3-4 weeks in advance for ocean shipments and 1 week for air shipments

HOW ARE YOU PREPARING?

We encourage our clients and teams to consider their own strategies for resilience during peak disruption periods. Share your approaches with us, and let’s explore how we can support one another through these challenges.
