June News Brief
Message From Our Director
We are approaching the end of another financial year, and as always, many things have happened since July.
As you know, in August we opened our Sydney warehouse to provide additional services to our existing customers — and we thank them sincerely for their continued support, along with those who have decided to join us since then.

It has been a very challenging experience for many reasons. The level of support we received from our customers has been outstanding, and at times, trying to keep up with booming demand has placed us in overwhelming situations.
We are truly grateful to our customers, suppliers, and staff for all the effort made in managing this intense period — which has also been a valuable learning experience for the future.
Nationally, our warehousing and distribution activity has delivered good results, both in terms of completed projects and in generating consistent business across the states. We are closing the year above budget forecasts — well done to all involved.
On the international freight forwarding side, the number of jobs reached has been the highest in the past 24 years. However, performance was impacted by various global factors — including economic uncertainty, the wars in Ukraine and the Middle East, currency exchange pressures (particularly with the Euro), inflation, interest rates, and fluctuating freight costs.
Our customs division has performed well and has met budget expectations, which we’re very pleased about.
We’ve also seen a number of changes across the business, especially in Perth, Brisbane and Melbourne.
In Perth, we now have a new Branch Manager and three new team members (out of four), all born and raised in WA — a first time for FJT. We’re confident this local foundation will support strong future results.
In Brisbane, we welcomed a new Operations and Customer Service Manager with over 30 years’ experience, along with three new office staff and two new warehouse employees. These additions come as we continue to support the demands of new customers who have recently come on board.
In Melbourne, we are welcoming a new Branch Manager, also with close to 30 years of experience and strong knowledge of our systems and technologies. This is an important focus for us. Over the next 24 months, we will invest heavily in digital integration to offer a more connected service across forwarding and warehousing.
Throughout the year, we’ve worked hard to make the changes needed to support future growth. We are ending this financial year with the highest revenue in the company’s history — but also the highest costs — along with the largest volume of jobs ever handled in one year.
Next year will be another challenge, where we must continue improving efficiency, managing costs, and staying competitive while growing our customer base and market share.
To all our customers, suppliers, and employees — thank you once again for everything you’ve done throughout this financial year.
Looking forward to the next one.
Regards,
Alessandro D’Orto
Director
